Assessment Criteria

In determining which works to produce 32˚ – Brown’s Mart Production House considers the following:

Markets
• Potential audience field that the work may cover, both regionally, nationally and internationally
• Potential to engage presentation partners
• Wider contextual potentials of the work (ie does it have significant CCD outcomes, can it sit as a part of a cross or multi-artform event, does it link itself to creative partnerships with other works or organisations, etc.)

Management
• Logistics of extending the life and scope of the work
• Touring potential

Artistic
• Composition of proposed creative team and skill base of core artists
• Potential for such team to offer wider skills development to the sector
• Contribution to a wider appreciation of NT cultural product
• Contribution to the development of Australian theatre practice
• Ongoing benefit of the project to the practice of the artist(s)

Expression of interest are invited from all theatre makers, directors, designers, producers and independent companies for the creation of new NT theatre work.
32˚ Brown’s Mart Production House welcomes projects and proposals from theatre artists including directors, playwrights, theatre-makers, designers, producers, and other organisations with performative outcomes.

What you should do
• Contact: call, email, send a carrier pigeon
• Meet: meet with the producer at Brown’s Mart or a place of your choosing; bring as much information as you can and be ready to discuss the work in detail
• Then: the producer will advise how the Production House may help and what the next steps are to get the project from between your ears to in front of other’s eyes.
