Located next door to Civic Park and across the road from the Old Town Hall Ruins, Brown’s Mart is Darwin’s premiere intimate venue for theatre, events, bands and workshops.
Comprising a theatre, courtyard, licenced bar, rehearsal room, ”Happy Yess” and an administration building this historic venue has hosted some of Australia and the world’s best artists.
Brown’s Mart Theatre is an air-conditioned studio (‘black-box’) theatre with several seating configurations available, accommodating a maximum of 130 people seated. Tiered seating ensures that there is not a bad seat in the house.

The courtyard has movable staging and can comfortably contain 300 people.
