Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare presented by Darwin Theatre Company and taiNTed with acknowledgment to the Cavenagh Theatre Trust.
Identical twins, Viola and Sebastian, are separated in a shipwreck, each believing the other to be dead.
After she is saved and reaches the shores of Illyria, Viola goes into the service of Count Orsino disguised as a young man, Cesario. Orsino sends her/him to woo the Lady Olivia on his behalf, but she falls in love with Cesario. However, Viola has fallen in love with Orsino.
Meanwhile, Sir Toby Belch has invited the brainless Sir Andrew Aguecheek to be Olivia’s suitor (and his cash cow). Their incessant partying leads to a confrontation between Olivia’s stewardess, Malvolia, so Toby and his cohorts lead a plot to get revenge against the puritanical Malvolia.
To add to the chaos, the rescued Sebastian arrives on the island and mayhem ensues with mistaken identities, misplaced love and practical jokes gone awry.
